EMJM Kick-off Meeting

Thursday 21.11 and Friday 22.11.2024 the kick-off meeting of our EMJM MS^2 has taken place. The coordinators of all the selected projects funded in 2024 have met together with the EU responsible and project officers in a dynamic atmosphere where the main guidelines for the project’s implementation have been discussed. Coordinators of funded projects could exchange with all the involved actors to share ideas and best practices and to ask questions about the new adventure of the next 6 years. We were warmly welcomed in the Erasmus Mundus family! Thank you to the EU for this great experience and thanks to our Faculty and home university for the continued support.

For the first round of the international Master's degree program “Mechanics of Sustainable Materials and Structures” (MS^2 for short) in winter semester 2024/25, 12 students from 10 different nations have enrolled, who are now being trained in cooperation with the University of Trento (Italy) and the Ecole Centrale de Nantes (France). The associated internationalization and the focus on the socially important topic of sustainability in the construction industry correspond to the overarching goals of TU Dortmund University and the faculty.
